In a field where many athletes are seen as slackers and people who take the easy way out when it comes to academics. Louisville team captain, Peyton Siva, disproved that theory, as he won the Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year award for the 2012-2013 season.
Siva recorded a 3.77 GPA and is a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS award. Congratulations to Peyton Siva! It is always good to see someone to take their education seriously in case something doesn’t go the way they want it to in their athletic future.
