In a year as wide open as this college basketball season, it's apropos that the national player of the year award is staying incredibly wide open leading into the final weekend of the regular season.
The award likely will come down to No. 2 Indiana at No. 7 Michigan in Ann Arbor on Sunday afternoon. If Victor Oladipo does what he has done all year and takes over the game when it matters most, Indiana will win the Big Ten championship outright, and Oladipo will be the odds-on favorite for player of the year. If Michigan dictates the tempo, defends home court and wins a share of the Big Ten title, Burke should win the award.
