Lakeem Jackson tied a season-high with 16 points and three other South Carolina players scored in double figures in an 80-69 win over South Carolina State on Saturday.
Brian Richardson finished with 15 points, Breton Williams had 14 points and Damien Leonard added 10 for the Gamecocks (10-3), who played for the second straight game with eight scholarship players.
Senior LaShay Page was dismissed from the team on Friday with an academic issue. Freshman Michael Carrera missed his second straight game with a hip injury and Bruce Ellington has yet to rejoin the team since scoring the game-winning touchdown in South Carolina's victory over Michigan in the Outback Bowl.

Matthew Hezekiah scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for South Carolina State (4-10).

South Carolina star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will spend the rest of this off-season and a full 2013 season working on his game, getting reps in, and most importantly(knock on wood), trying not to get hurt.
Clowney would be the #1 overall pick in the 2013 draft if he was allowed to come out, but with the 3 year rule in effect, Jadeveon has to wait until 2014.
