Found June 06, 2012 on The Cardinal Connect:
We knew it was only a matter of time before some offseason roster changes were announced. Today is the day. Louisville senior-to-be Stephan Van-Treese has been granted a release from Louisville and will transfer.  SVT’s father, Dan Van Treese shared the news with Evan Daniels of I’d say there is a good chance that SVT attempts to get a medical redshirt for his junior season at Louisville.  A medical redshirt may be granted an athlete who appears in fewer than 30% of his or her team’s competitions (with none coming after the midway point of the season). SVT played in just three games for the Cards last season. If granted the medical redshirt, Van Treese will have two years of eligibility remaining at his new school. SVT played limited minutes as a freshman, but showed a lot of upside during his sophomore season. His unfortunate knee injury last season caused him to miss all but three games for the Cardinals in 2011-12. I’ve not heard of any schools that he will consider o...

Van Treese leaving Louisville basketball

Stephan Van Treese is moving on, taking his act elsewhere. The scrappy Hoosier has asked for his release and will transfer from the University of Louisville prior to the 2012-13 college basketball season. Van Treese had no fear around the basket, banging with the best of them, sacrificing his body on his regular basis, and was well liked by fans and teammates. Unfortunately, he...

SVT Speaks About Leaving Louisville

It pains me to refer to him this way, but former Cardinal Stephan Van Treese spoke with Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star earlier this evening regarding his departure from the Louisville basketball program. “I like coach Pitino a lot and don’t regret anything,” he told Neddenriep. “I feel like if I wouldn’t have gotten hurt that it would have been different. That...

Terrence Jennings’ Rookie Season Comes To An End In Belgium

Former Card Terrence Jennings’ rookie season as a professional has come to an end. Jennings spent this past season with Belgacom Liège of Belgium’s top professional league. In 31 games for Liege, Jennings played 24.2 minutes per contest, averaging 8.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. Liege finished 11-21 on the season, putting them in second to last place in the...

Louisville’s Scholarship Situation Will Only Get Worse

For the third time in just two years, we’ve seen a Louisville player with eligibility remaining be shown the door. If a player wants to play at a school even thought he’ll never get any PT, that’s one thing. However, George Goode, Jared Swopshire and now Stephan Van Treese have or will benefit from their unfortunate situation. You can certainly make the case that it’s unfair...

Shut up and look: Louisville Coach Charlie Strong's Team Urinals Full of Piss and Wildcat Logos

Louisville Coach Charlie Strong apparenlty had Kentucky logos installed in the team's urinals to improve aim. Here's the rub: The angle is all wrong. Piss on the UK and? Backsplash. Every time you... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~

Louisville adds Kentucky logos to their urinals

Kentucky and Louisville have always been fierce rivals. Both schools are located in the same state and the fan bases pretty much hate each other. The teams played each other in The Final Four this year in basketball which was a game that no one would forget. Kentucky ended up winning that game and them the NCAA basketball title. Charlie Strong, the head coach of Louisville, is trying...
