TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) Alabama defensive back Geno Smith was arrested and charged with driving under the influence for the second time in his career with the Crimson Tide.
According to the Sheriff Department website, Smith was arrested Saturday morning and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $1,000 bail.

Alabama has fired its men’s basketball coach, Anthony Grant, according to a report by Cecil hurt of the Tuscaloosa News. The report was later confirmed by the university.
Grant, 48, has been coaching the Crimson Tide since 2009, compiling a career record of 116-83. With Grant at the helm of the program, Alabama reached the NCAA Tournament just once (2012) in six seasons.
