Alabama had a very good week last week. The Crimson Tide baseball team ended what had been a bad week with a win over 10xth ranked Louisiana on the road. Bama then went to Montgomery and defeated Auburn in the Capital City Classic. And last weekend, the Tide swept a three-game series with all shutouts against Mississippi Valley State.
The Alabama pitching staff posted three consecutive shutouts for the first time since 1912, as the Crimson Tide completed the sweep of the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils with a 3-0 victory on Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the fifth straight win, Alabama improves its record to 9-5, while the Delta Devils drop to 0-15.
The quarterback competition for Alabama has begun. Coach Nick Saban and staff will take their time searching for AJ McCarron's replacement.
Make no mistake about it, Alabama’s 83-58 romp over Arkansas Saturday was great fun. And it was oh so fine for Trevor Releford to add to his resume as a deserving Southeastern Conference Player of the Year candidate on Senior Day. But was it in Bama’s best interest to earn the No. 10 seed and the first day bye that comes with it for this week’s SEC Tournament?

The NFL Combine is a nerve-racking moment for young and talented NFL hopefuls -- just ask University of Alabama offensive linemen Cyrus Kouandjio. Kouandjio was expected to be one of the first offensive linemen off the board in May's NFL Draft, but with rumors of his surgically repaired knee surfacing -- coupled with his subpar showing at the NFL Combine -- Kuandjio's stock...
You know, I was going to try to be clever with this one, but what’s the point in going through the work. It’s Katherine Webb, the easily more famous half of the high-profile coupling of her and former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron. Also, she’s in a bikini. And yep, she’s still attractive. Joining […]The post Katherine Webb posts photo of bikini shoot with...
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported during the Scouting Combine that ”several” NFL teams failed Alabama OT Cyrus Kouandjio after giving him a physical.
Rapoport recently spoke with Dr. Lyle Cain who mentioned that NFL teams varied in their grades regarding Kouandjio’s health. According to Cain, some teams gave him a grade of 4, and others a 3.
This is on a 1...
The proposed rule to slow down college football offenses by putting in a 10-second substitution period between plays for the defense has drummed up a ton of rhetoric from both sides, with proponents of the rule citing player safety as a reason to keep the pace of the game down. One of the biggest proponents of the rule is Alabama coach Nick Saban, who provided this peculiar quote...
As the start of spring practice for Alabama approaches, we'll continue to breakdown each position. Today, we take a look at the Crimson Tide's stable of running backs.
Departed: Alvin Kamara (transfer), Dee Hart
Ready for spring: T.J. Yeldon, rising junior; Kenyan Drake, junior; Derrick Henry, sophomore; Altee Tenpenny, sophomore; Tyren Jones, redshirt freshman.
In sports, it’s common for fans to poke fun at their rival for losing a big game. But according to Alabama fans, that appears to be the case even if we’re talking about Auburn, who lost to Florida State in the BCS National Championship Game after defeating the Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl to even have the opportunity. That’s right – during Saturday’s basketball game between...
