Chris Perez led four players in double-figures with 20 points as Stetson beat NAIA school Southeastern (Fla.) 81-59 Monday night. Adam Pegg netted 14 points for the Hatters (2-1), while Aaron Graham and Joel Naburgs each had 13. The teams missed a combined 14 shots before Pavolis Gaidys put Southeastern up 2-0 over four minutes into the game. The Fire (7-2) held a 9-8 lead with 11:15 left in the half, but the Hatters closed out the stanza with a 24-4 scoring run to take a 32-13 lead into the intermission. Following a layup by Naburgs, Southeastern went on an 8-2 scoring run early in the second half, but a 3 by Perez put Stetson up 39-21 and the Hatters cruised from there with Perez pouring in 16 second-half points. Stetson outrebounded the Fire 46-32 for the game. Jordan Talley led Southeastern with 12 points.
