TCU Men's Basketball Picks Up Much Needed Win in Morgantown
© Ben Queen-USA TODAY Sports

It was a nice cruise to the finish line on Wednesday as TCU never trailed in its 93-81 win over West Virginia. The Horned Frogs shot an astonishing 18-28 (64%) from the field and knocked down nine triples in the first half to grow a 53-28 lead.

The Mountaineers were able to cut the lead down to 10 with three minutes to go, but Jameer Nelson Jr. and Emanuel Miller helped put the game away. As consistent as can be, Miller was the leading scorer with 21 points, five rebounds and two steals. Nelson missed one shot on his way to 17 points to go with a team high six assists.

In his best effort to make this game interesting, West Virginia's Jesse Edwards had a monster game going for 36 points with 13 rebounds and two blocks. However, what helped TCU put this game away was their free throw shooting going 22-26 from the line.

Winning in Morgantown has obviously been a struggle for TCU so regardless of how poor the opponent may be, this was no easy task. Nonetheless, the Frogs took care of business and improved to 20-10 (9-8).

Their final regular season game will be at home on Saturday against UCF at 4 p.m.
