TCU Men's Basketball: Three Frogs Get All-Conference Honors
© Chris Jones-USA TODAY Sports

Three TCU players were honored with All-Big 12 Conference Honors Sunday:

Big 12 coaches voted on the awards, and no coaches were allowed to vote for their own players.

This is no new territory for Miller. It is his third straight season earning all-conference honors, as he was honorable mention the past two years.

Miller ranks fifth in the Big 12 at 16.0 points per game and 13th with 5.8 rebounds per game. The senior forward also ranks third in field goal percentage at 49.0 percent and shoots from 3-point range at a 39.4 percent clip.

After being chosen for preseason all-conference honors, Miller did not disappoint. He was the only player to score double figures in all 18 Big 12 games and dropped 20 or more points eight times.

The Scarborough, Ontario native even hit two game-winners this year. He hit the buzzer-beating 3-pointer to reach a career-high 29 points against Georgetown and the go-ahead layup to beat No. 2 Houston.

Jameer Nelson Jr. and Micah Peavy have been nothing short of great players who have complemented Miller all season. Earning All-Big 12 Honors for both is extremely well deserved.

Jameer Nelson Jr. is averaging 11.3 points and 3.3 assists per game. The Delaware transfer has scored in double-figures 20 times and ranks fourth in the Big 12 with 2.0 steals per game.

Nelson Jr. notably hit the go-ahead layup to reach a season-high 30 points in the win at No. 15 Baylor and made the game-winning 3-pointer to beat Kansas State on the road.

Micah Peavy is averaging 11.1 points and 3.3 assists per game, scoring in double figures 19 times.

Peavy notably recorded the third triple-double in program history with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists in the win against Arizona State and dropped a career-high 26 points to help beat Kansas State.

All three of these players had incredible journeys to get to TCU and have been great Horned Frogs. Look for these guys to be the core of the Horned Frogs' success in postseason play. They first face Oklahoma in the Big 12 Tournament at 2 p.m. CT on Wednesday, March 13.
