SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) -- Wesley Davis scored 18 points and Matt Staff had 16 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday night to help Texas State defeat Houston 81-78. Davis made one of two free throws with 6 seconds left, putting Texas State's lead at three points, but Thompson missed a 3-pointer that would have tied it.
