1.Anthony Davis (Kentucky) – Davis will be the Player, Freshman, and Defensive Player of the Year. He is clearly the best player in the nation. Just look what he is doing in the NCAA tournament. Davis is averaging 14.5 points, 11 rebounds, 4.5 blocks, and 2.7 assists. His skill for his size separates him from only players.
2.Jared Sullinger (Ohio State) – Sullinger is a dominant low post scorer, who also controls the glass. Sullinger was pretty good the first weekend but last weekend he was unstoppable. In the tournament he is averaging 18 points and 8.3 rebounds. In the tournament is shooting 81 % (27-33) from the free throw line. That’s pretty impressive for a post player.
3.Thomas Robinson (Kansas) – Robinson is the most dominant low post scorer in the country. He is also probably the strongest too. In the NCAA tournament he is averaging 15.6 points and 12.5 rebounds. Robinson even hit a three last game against North Carolina.
4.Michael Kidd Gilchrist (Kentucky) ...

The highlight packages will be full of Anthony Davis' one-hand jam off an alley-oop pass and a couple of his hook shots - including one with his non-shooting hand - but what got Kentucky to its 11th national championship game was defense.
A lot of defense.
The Wildcats didn't break the 80-point mark as they did in their first four NCAA tournament games - the first team...
Player of the year Anthony Davis has Kentucky right where it expected to be, in the national title game, scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds as the Wildcats held off pesky Louisville 69-61 on Saturday night.
As the final seconds ticked down, Davis screamed at the crowd and pointed to the court as if to say, ''This is our house.''
Yes, yes it is.
Kentucky wound up right where it expected to be all along.
Even if it took a little work to get there.
Anthony Davis and top-seeded Kentucky will play for the national title Monday night after finally putting away pesky Louisville 69-61 in the Final Four on Saturday night. It will be Kentucky's first appearance in the title game since winning a seventh NCAA crown back in 1998...
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Kentucky wound up right where it expected to be all along.

For Kentucky's Anthony Davis it has been a remarkable season that already includes SEC Offensive & Defensive player of the year awards. However, as Davis and the rest of the Wildcats prepare for the Louisville Cardinals Saturday in the Final Four, news broke that Davis had been voted The Associated Press men's college basketball Player of the Year. Davis received 43...
-The star for the Wildcats was once again Anthony Davis. Just like Kentucky is clearly the best team in the country Davis is clearly the best player in the nation. All the freshman did against Louisville was finish with 18 points, bring down 14 rebounds, and block 5 shots. He was 7 of 8 shooting from the field. Two of those field goals were...
The Wildcats, to anyone who owns two eyes and the least smidgeon of basketball knowledge, clearly stand out as the best team in the country this season. Period. As Big Blue Nation descends upon the city of New Orleans in a tidal wave of blue shirts and high hopes, the Cats almost have the championship in the bag. Almost.
Twice this year, though, this super team, this unbeatable force...
For the past couple of weeks, we have had different people give their opinion on just how good the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team is. They are wonderfully talented, and seem to be in control of their own destiny heading into the Final Four this Saturday after only losing 2 games this season. Anthony Davis seems to be the surefire #1 pick in this years draft, while Michael Kidd...
The Kentucky Wildcats have looked unbeatable in their run to the final four. As well as they are playing I don’t know if some of the bad NBA teams could beat them. There is really no weakness to their game right now. Guards Marquis Teague and Doron Lamb are playing their best basketball of the season. Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd Gilchrist could be the first...
Kentucky is playing lights out right now they are clearly the best team in the country. I don’t know if some of the bad NBA teams could beat them right now. Michael Kidd Gilchrist is still the best freshman in the country behind Davis. No one can stop him from driving to the basket he just has too much strength. After struggling the 1st weekend Gilchrist was unstoppable...
CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein is reporting Syracuse recruit Nerlens Noel will “ultimately wind up in Lexington.” Recently, The Fizz dissected the New York Times’ piece on the shady characters around Noel. It’s not an indictment of the high school big man himself, but instead the questionable “handlers” many high-profile basketball recruits find themselves fending off. Rothstein...
How Kentucky would fare against an NBA team has been a popular topic of debate this week. The Wildcats are in the Final Four and favored to win the national championship in the coming days. They have at least four players expected to make it in the NBA, including forward Anthony Davis, who is expected to be the top overall pick.
Charles Barkley, seeming to exaggerate how good...
Four perennial college basketball powerhouses descend on the Big Easy this weekend in search of the big prize. Kentucky, Ohio State, Kansas and Louisville have combined for 49 Final Four appearances between them and all have their eyes on the national championship prize. Each team is capable of reaching its goal. Of course, only one will. Which team will that be? We’ll get to that...
