Found December 06, 2012 on Bearcats Blog:
The Cincinnati Bearcats improved to 8-0 on the season with an 87-53 win over UALR tonight. They used a school record 23 steals to completely baffle the Trojan ball handlers. The press was magnificent. The middle of it especially caused a lot of pressure. Justin Jackson ended up with a career best 4 steals. Cashmere Wright, Ge'Lawn Guyn and JaQuon Parker all had 3.  The Bearcat offense had 3 in double figures. The most surprising was Cheikh Mbodj, who matched his career high with 12 points. He was 4-4 from the field and 4-4 at the foul line. He also had 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. It was one of his best games in a Cincinnati uniform. The other two in double digits were no surprise. Sean Kilpatrick had a game high 18 points and JaQuon Parker had 11.  In another good stat, the Bearcats had 20 assists on their 34 field goals. I mentioned that after the Alabama win and apparently so did Mick because the ball moved very crisply. Cash and Jackson both had 4 assists to top the team...

Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Butch Jones interviewed for the Colorado opening just two days ago. Today the Denver Post posted that Jones had accepted the job to be the next head coach at Colorado. However, after the article in the Post ran, Jones told SI’s Pete Thamel that any talk of him accepting the Colorado job was “absolutely false”. Just reached out to Butch Jones,...

No. 11 Cincinnati 92, Md.-Eastern Shore 60

Cashmere Wright got ready to shoot a long 3 from the left wing, thought better and pulled the ball in. When the defender didn't respond, he fired away and swished it. Cincinnati's senior point guard seems to be getting better at deciding when to shoot and when to pass, one of the things the 11th-ranked Bearcats want to see as they get ready for Big East play. Wright set...

Ohio college hoops round-up

Eight games and eight wins in to the college basketball season, the Cincinnati Bearcats have plenty to smile about. Senior guard Cashmere Wright and junior backcourt mate Sean Kilpatrick each scored their 1,000th career point last Saturday vs. Alabama. No. 12 nationally in last week's coaches poll, the Bearcats are 8-0 to start the year for the second time in three seasons, and...

Cincinnati 87 UALR 53 and Maryland Eastern-Shore Preview

The Cincinnati Bearcats thrashed Arkansas-Little Rock yesterday 87-53. It was a weird game in hindsight. UALR and Cincinnati both started the game very sloppy and turned the ball over a lot. Then Arkansas Little-Rock just never stopped. They turned it over 32 times. That is a lot of times. Almost 1 time per minute. As you well know from reading the post game, UC set a school record...

Bearcats Beat UMES with the Greatest of Ease

For the 11th time in school history, the Cincinnati Bearcats are 9-0. I didn't have to look that up because Tommy G said that roughly 49,823 times during the broadcast. Maryland Eastern-Shore is very bad. Cincinnati is very good. That was the story of the game. There is a week off before the Bearcats play again, so this game got the job done as an exercise in ass kicking.  ...
