The Hoosiers will have one of the top frontcourts in the country. Leading the way for the Hoosiers will be forward super sophomore Cody Zeller (15. 6 ppg). He is the favorite in everyone’s previews to win National Player of the Year. Besides averaging the points Zeller also averaged 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.2 blocks. Zeller can score in the post but he also has a great mid-range game. His biggest strength might be his ability to run the floor and outrun his opponents. Joining him in the frontcourt is Christian Watford (12.6 ppg). He is a very versatile scorer that can score inside and out. He was 2nd on the team in three point shooting making 52 threes while making 44 % of them. He is also a tough physical rebounder. Watford hit a number of clutch shots including the game winner against Kentucky. The top option off the bench will be Will Sheehey (8.6 ppg), who has starting experience from last season. Sheehey is another versatile scorer. The depth will ...

The just completed Big Ten regular season might go down as the best in conference history. Along those same lines, the Big Ten Tournament promises to be an elite event from top to bottom. Stuff all 12 participants into a single NCAA tournament region and it would be one of the most intriguing brackets in recent memory. The conference is loaded. Nobody is safe.
Trey Burke & Cody...
Hoosier fans have often griped about Cody Zeller’s touches this season, but a re-watch of the final minute and a half of Indiana-Michigan reveals this simple fact: IU’s last five possessions were all about getting its big man the ball.
The first two didn’t end so hot: A quick entry pass from Yogi Ferrell on the right wing to Zeller on the right block resulted in a turnover...
YES! YES! YES!
In a complete basketball haze, and not knowing what else to say, that one word over and over again is all I could muster in the immediate aftermath of Indiana’s improbable late game comeback win today over Michigan.
And as you surely know, that victory gave Indiana the outright Big Ten title in one of the toughest Big Ten seasons I can ever remember.
It was a strange...
Indiana wrapped up the regular season on Sunday afternoon with a come-from-behind 72-71 thriller over Michigan at the Crisler Center. The victory gave the Hoosiers an outright Big Ten championship for the first time since 1993.

Cody Zeller refused to bask in the glory of an outright Big Ten title the Indiana Hoosiers probably wouldn't have won without him.
''It was a team win,'' Zeller said.
Technically, that's true.
Zeller didn't single-handedly beat No. 7 Michigan on Sunday, it just seemed that way for stretches of the game - and in particular the final minute of the Hoosiers...
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Cody Zeller made a go-ahead layup with 13 seconds left and altered Trey Burke's shot at the other end, lifting No. 2 Indiana to a 72-71 victory over No. 7 Michigan on Sunday that gave the Hoosiers their first outright Big Ten title in two decades.

Two of the best college basketball players in the entire nation, just so happen to play for Indiana University. Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller have used their combined skills to make IU one of the favorites to win the NCAA Tournament 2013 this year.
The question is which one of these players will make a better NBA prospect?
Zeller came into this season...
Thanks to our friends at Inside the Hall for passing along this post game footage of Tom Crean, Victor Oladipo, Cody Zeller and Jordan Hulls after Indiana’s win in Ann Arbor.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Seven Indiana players — Cody Zeller, Victor Oladipo, Jordan Hulls, Remy Abell, Christian Watford, Will Sheehey and Jeremy Hollowell — met with the media following Indiana’s 72-71 over Michigan on Sunday at the Crisler Center.
Watch and listen to their postgame reaction in the embedded media players below:
For the Hoosiers to win they would need to play like the team that was picked at the start of the season as the No. 1 squad in the nation. They had to be the team that everyone thought they were (right Dennis Green?).
On Sunday against the Wolverines they were just that and more beating No. 7 Michigan in Ann Arbor 72-71.
It was the big man, Cody Zeller, earning his stripes...
Indiana Claims First Big Ten Title in 20 Years, Looks Forward to Big 10 TourneyLosing a game with a missed layup is something no basketball player wants to endure.
But that’s what happened to Michigan’s Trey Burke on Sunday in a loss to AP number 2 Indiana, who claimed their first outright Big Ten title in 20 years.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Many voters for the Big Ten player of the year said this week they would wait until after Sunday’s game to make their decision on who should win the award. The consensus seems to be that it is down to Michigan’s Trey Burke and Indiana’s Victor Oladipo, who matched up against each other at times in Indiana’s 72-71 win at Michigan.
Burke finished the game...
When one takes a moment to reflect, you realize that 20 years is quite a long time, especially in the sporting world.
Yes, an outright Big Ten championship has been a long time coming for these Indiana Hoosiers.
It’s been exactly two decades since the last time the Indiana Hoosiers were sole champions of the Big Ten, when they were led by then-seniors Calbert Cheaney and Greg Graham...
