Fox Sports Arizona:
TUCSON The Arizona men's basketball team will be short a big man on Wednesday when it faces San Diego State.
Freshman center Sidiki Johnson has been suspended indefinitely for
violations of team policy, according to head coach Sean Miller.
The announcement was made Monday night.
Johnson, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound, freshman forward from the Bronx, N.Y., has made
three appearances for the Wildcats this season, averaging 0.3 points and 0.7
rebounds. Johnson had played well most recently after struggling in the first two games for Arizona.
After the second game of the season, Miller said of Johnson, "Hopefully he can work to get better, but I'm not counting on it."
According to the UA announcement, it's not clear how long the suspension will last or what the problem is. Miller said no further comment will be made.
