The Victory Formation:
My favorite color commentator in college basketball these days is Dan Dakich. He understands the game very well, and isn’t afraid to call out coaches, even though he was once part of the fraternity. Last night he gained even more points for being very candid about a claim from an Indiana student. During Tuesday’s telecast of the Indiana Hoosiers and Ohio State Buckeyes, Dakich, who played for the Bob Knight and coached for 12 years as an assistant in Bloomington, admitted to dating a current students mom at one point. The student had a sign that read “Dan Dakich dated my mom … seriously,” and he addressed it: “Don’t name the woman,” Mike Tirico said to Dakich. “Don’t embarrass her.” “Are you kidding me?” Dakich replied. “She should wear that as a badge of honor.” Dan Dakich – Hoosier Heartbreaker. That’s funny stuff and good television right there.
BEST OF MAXIM
Indiana’s Victor Oladipo has gone from relative obscurity last season to a potential lottery pick for this year’s upcoming NBA Draft. He’s been one of the most improved players in all of college basketball, and he’s a big reason IU is in play for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Despite the Hoosiers’ loss to Ohio State last night, Oladipo came away with the highlight...
Indiana’s Victor Oladipo had one of the best blocks we have had the pleasure of seeing on Tuesday night as the Hoosiers took on Ohio State. You can see the ridiculous hops and execution Victor displayed as he sent Shannon Scott’s layup attempt a good twenty feet into the stands. This is as good of a block as you will see this year along with an incredible show of athleticism...
A frustrating and demoralizing loss — that prevented the Indiana basketball team from winning a Big Ten championship outright for the first time in 20 years — didn't stop coach Tom Crean from bringing out the ladders and cutting down the nets on Senior Night at Assembly Hall.
Hours after the 67-58 upset loss to Ohio State, and way past midnight, the Hoosiers players donned...
Indiana's Victor Oladipo wanted to make sure that it was clear whwat his intentions were with this shot. I think it is pretty safe to say that everyone understands exactly what he wanted to do.
Derek Elston, Jordan Hulls and Christian Watford met with the media following Indiana’s 67-58 loss to Ohio State on Tuesday at Assembly Hall.

Indiana honored Hoosiers' stars Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo on Tuesday night for their 1,000th career point scored.
With a chance to clinch an outright Big Ten championship on the line on Tuesday night at Assembly Hall, Indiana fell 67-58 to Ohio State. The loss sets up a must-win game on Sunday in Ann Arbor in order for the Hoosiers to avoid sharing the league title.
Here’s a look at five takeaways from the loss to the Buckeyes:
· Beyond Cody Zeller, Indiana was stymied by Ohio State’s defense...
Through endless hard work, Jordan Hulls changed IU’s basketball culture
By Justin Albers
On paper, Jordan Hulls’ story seems pretty simple. Bloomington kid grows up dreaming of playing at Indiana University. Works hard, becomes Mr. Basketball, goes to Indiana, succeeds.
And while there’s some truth in that abbreviated version, Hulls’ path to the Hoosiers wasn’t nearly...
