Derrick Nix is a big man, but plays with a lot of finesse around the basket. We’ve even seen him go coast-to-coast. But that doesn’t change the fact the is still just what we said, a big man.

Yesterday, in the midst of Michigan State’s blowout win in the 2nd round of the B1G Tourney, Nix celebrated a layup and 1 by punching the basketball support. We’ve seen plenty of ballers do that, but we haven’t seen them actually punch a hole in it.

I think the lesson here is to always just stay out of Nix’s way.

I keep hoping that Michigan State students never go this route *quickly scans YouTube*. The University of Rochester isn’t exactly a destination spot, heck, even Syracuse has a hard enough time convincing football players to hang around the middle of Upstate New York for the now. But the Yellowjackets put together his rap video formed by their school a capella group. Enjoy, or not.
