This defensive play from Saturday's Utah State-New Mexico State game is nothing short of incredible. Hernst Laroche, a senior guard for NMSU, was guarding Utah State's Preston Medlin when he tripped over USU forward Kyisean Reed who was setting a pick at half court. After hitting the deck, Laroche, all in one motion, pulled off an army roll and sprung back up to his feet to block Medlin's jump shot.

Laroche then gained control of the ball and took it down the floor for a contested layup. Some call it wherewithal. Others might call it a hustle play. Video game makers call it defensive awareness. I'll let you decide what to call it. But anyway you slice it, it'll be one of the best defensive plays you'll see on the hardwood this season. New Mexico State won the game 80-69.

See, incredible.
