Getting hot at the right time in sports is sometimes all that matters. If it’s in a game, or in a season, if teams get hot at the right time they can roll to victories and championships. The team that epitomized this thought this year is the Louisville Cardinals. Louisville has won their last 8 games, including the Big East title game and last night’s game against the Florida Gators, which put them into the Final Four. Florida dominated the first half but Louisville was able to get hot in the second half and come back from a 10 point deficit to beat the Gators 72-68. Louisville got a nice boost from their bench last night as back-up guard Russ Smith led all scorers with 19 points.

Ohio State received solid performances from every Buckeye who stepped onto the floor in their 77-70 win over Syracuse. Because of foul trouble, Jared Sullinger was only able to play 26 minutes last night, but he was still able to lead all scorers with 19 points. When Sullinger was out of the game, his teammates picked up his slack, with 3 of the other 4 starters scoring in double-digits, including guard William Buford who scored 13 points to go with his 9 rebounds.
