Zack Novak met with the media this morning before film to discuss Michigan’s upcoming Big Ten opener against Penn State. “I like where we’re at right now. We’ve improved a lot over the preseason. Obviously our record, 10-2, that’s a pretty good preseason record. We’re in a good place right now and there’s going to be a lot of new challenges, teams are going to get a lot better – quickly. But everyone is in the same boat and I think we’re ready for it.”

We’ve been working on a lot of skills the last couple days: getting banged going to the basket, even working Trey guarding us in the post. Heininger still hopeful he can play in Sugar
Will Heininger realizes he may have played his last game at Michigan, even with the Sugar Bowl still to be played on Tuesday. He was injured in U-M's Dec. 22 practice in Ann Arbor, and on Thursday, he called it a "sprained foot" but declined to specify how it happened. Heininger had his right foot in a walking boot after U-M's practice at Tulane University.
