Score: No. 3 Duke 79, No. 5 Miami 76 Stars: Duke: Ryan Kelly 36 Pts, 7 Reb. Miami: Shane Larkin 25 Pts, 4 Reb, 4 Ast. Story: There was a lot of pride on the line in this matchup. When these two top-five teams met less than a month ago, Miami wiped the floor with the Blue Devils, and it left a sour taste in the mouths of Duke fans. It wasn’t going to happen again in Cameron Indoor, especially if coach Mike Krzyzewski had anything to say about it. Duke forward Ryan Kelly was making his much-hyped return — he had not played a game for the Blue Devils since January 8th. Duke had not lost this season with Kelly in the lineup, so his return is huge for the team as they move toward the tournament. Kelly didn’t disappoint, scoring 19 in the first half and a career-high 36 points overall on 10-14 shooting. This game was a back-and-forth affair the whole night. Despite Kelly’s incredible performance, Miami took a two-point lead into halftime and appeared to be in great shape. But Duke wasn’t going to roll over in this one, and eventually built a ten-point lead with two minutes to play. However, after a quick barrage of Miami threes, the game still came down to the final possession: Future Duke opponents might consider covering Ryan Kelly when he shoots the 3 ball. — Michael Parsons (@MichaelMParsons) March 3, 2013 Duke won at home. I’m suppose to be excited or shocked by that? I think not. — Jamal Hardnett (@malball) March 3, 2013 AWESOME game for Ryan Kelly. With him back from injury, Duke is now the best team in the nation. Without a doubt. #BlueDevils — Axel Boada (@ESPN_axel) March 3, 2013 Nothing sweeter than REVENGE #GoDuke Welcome back @ryankelly34 WOOOOOO — Kathleen Boyette (@kathleenboyette) March 3, 2013
