With the NCAA Tournament set to tip off this week, we are taking a look at the X-Factors that could propel ACC teams to success in the tournament. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish face off with Rutgers in the "play-in" game, and while Notre Dame is a veteran team, only one of their players has experience in the NCAA Tournament. Paul Atkinson Jr. played in 1 game with Yale in 2019 and scored 9 points on 3-of-4 shooting with 2 blocks in a loss to LSU. Atkinson's veteran presence has been a big asset for the Irish this year, and that should continue into the tournament. Atkinson can give Notre Dame some much-needed scoring and rebounding in the paint to go along with the outside shooting of Blake Wesley, Dane Goodwin, Nate Laszewski, Prentiss Hubb and Cormac Ryan. If Atkinson can be a threat inside, the Fighting Irish could make a serious run in the tournament.
