The Louisville basketball team was forced to take a rare game day flight to Hartford, CT., for tonight’s Big Monday match-up against Connecticut. The team was scheduled to depart yesterday afternoon, but had their flight delayed until today, due to severe fog. Louisville’s plane landed in Connecticut approximately four hours before tipoff. Rick Pitino has the reputation of being one of the best in the country at keeping his team in excellent shape. That my come in handy with this being Louisville’s second game in a little over 48 hours. The Huskies are also playing their second game in three days, but to be fair, they didn’t have to travel on game day. There is no reason to panic at this point, but this game may be one of the tougher games on the schedule for Louisville this season. I think it’s fair to say that Duke and Missouri are the only two teams that Louisville has played that are better than UConn. The Huskies are playing their best basketball of the season right now and hav...

Behind a dominant performance from Russ Smith, Louisville topped Uconn 73-58.  This was the first regular season game in program history that Louisville has played ranked as the #1 team in the AP Poll.
