As the Cougars participate in the West Coast Conference Tournament in Las Vegas, it will be Anson Winder’s homecoming. Though he got to travel with the team to Las Vegas last year on a few occasions while redshirting, this will be his first time playing as a BYU athlete in his home city. With his freshman season winding down, Winder has loved his BYU experience so far.

When the Cougars begin postseason play on Friday against either Pepperdine or San Diego, they will do so with a number of players that didn’t participate during last year’s postseason. One such player – midyear transfer Matt Carlino – was redshirting, while another – Brandon Davies – had just been suspended. This year, however, they will get their shot to lead BYU to postseason glory.

More to BYU than the first impression

They're running again. They're ripping the ball off the rim, turning it 90 feet in an all-out sprint, taking everything you think you know about basketball and throwing it back in your face.
