Duke's Alex Murphy to play for Finland's U20 team
It came as a bit of a surprise, at least to me, when I saw that Duke redshirt freshman Alex Murphy will be play for the U-20 Finnish National Team. For one I had no idea Murphy or his family was of Finnish decent, but apparently his mother, Paivi, played on Finland's national team from 1988-94 and also played professionally in Sweden.

Duke's Marshall Plumlee and Murphy Likely to Redshirt
We've all known that Marshall Plumlee was likely to redshirt, and I've suspected since the concussion injury that Murphy suffered that he might as well. Today, we get some confirmation on both.
The citizen times ran a story on Plumlee, saying that Duke plans to redshirt the youngest Plumlee. The quotes from the Plumlees' high school coach tell us it was no surprise...
