JUSTIN JACKSON RUMORS

Season Review: Justin Jackson

Happy May, everyone. A man named Andrew Woods emailed me saying "When are you going to continue the season reviews?" The answer is today. I've been suffering some burnout lately and I need a kick in the ass every once in a while from you guys. It's appreciated.  I needed a kick in the ass to get back on the season recaps just like the next player up in the...

Cincinnati vs. Louisville: The Negatives & Positives Of The Match-Up

Tonight’s Louisville – Cincinnati game is big for both programs. Cincinnati needs a win over an elite team to prove that they’re as good as some projected they’d be prior to the start of the season. Mick Cronin’s team looked like one of the best in the league earlier in the year, but has slumped for the last half of the season. Louisville needs to continue to pile on quality...

How the Big Men Get Their Points

I've been talking a lot lately about the Bearcats offense. There has been a lot of talk about the big men and how they get their baskets. I'm counting Justin Jackson, Cheikh Mbodj, and David Nyarsuk only. Titus Rubles is someone who can create their own shot. These 3 men rely on offensive rebounding and other people to get their baskets. I want to know who creates them. I...

The Bearcats Get Win 8 in Historic Fashion

The Cincinnati Bearcats improved to 8-0 on the season with an 87-53 win over UALR tonight. They used a school record 23 steals to completely baffle the Trojan ball handlers. The press was magnificent. The middle of it especially caused a lot of pressure. Justin Jackson ended up with a career best 4 steals. Cashmere Wright, Ge'Lawn Guyn and JaQuon Parker all had 3.  The Bearcat...

Bearcats begin crucial week in Big East race

Bearcats coach Mick Cronin was preparing yet another post-game diatribe on Saturday when his team trailed DePaul with less than five minutes remaining at Fifth Third Arena. But unlike the three previous games where UC faded down the stretch, the Bearcats rose up and closed the game on a 12-2 run, avoiding their first four-game losing streak in four years. As encouraging as the victory...

Cincinnati 73 Jacksonville State 59

Via Go BearcatsThe Cincinnati Bearcats improved to 2-0 on the young season with a 73-59 win over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks (1-2). The Gamecocks were plenty of half of that nickname, as they fought hard the second half, as UC played against them and indifference. I was pretty critical of the performance against Alabama State, this was worse. The Bearcats ran away to a 24-9...

No. 20 Cincy holds off Jacksonville St. (AP)

Dion Dixon scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half, shooting over Jacksonville State's undersized zone defense, and the 20th-ranked Bearcats weathered a sluggish second half for a 73-59 victory Tuesday night. Cincinnati (2-0) opened with a 26-9 run behind Dixon's 3-point shooting. He finished 4 of 8 behind the arc, where the Bearcats went 8 of 12 overall.
