Bearcats begin crucial week in Big East race
Bearcats coach Mick Cronin was preparing yet another post-game diatribe on Saturday when his team trailed DePaul with less than five minutes remaining at Fifth Third Arena. But unlike the three previous games where UC faded down the stretch, the Bearcats rose up and closed the game on a 12-2 run, avoiding their first four-game losing streak in four years.

Breaking Down Every UC Field Goal: Wright State
Since the Cincinnati Bearcats have been an offensive machine the past couple of games, I decided to take a look at how they are doing it. Luckily the past 2 games are on ESPN3. No. 20 Cincy holds off Jacksonville St. (AP)
Dion Dixon scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half, shooting over Jacksonville State's undersized zone defense, and the 20th-ranked Bearcats weathered a sluggish second half for a 73-59 victory Tuesday night. Cincinnati (2-0) opened with a 26-9 run behind Dixon's 3-point shooting. He finished 4 of 8 behind the arc, where the Bearcats went 8 of 12 overall.
