COLORADO BUFFALOES RUMORS & GOSSIP

Johnson heading to Colorado next fall

Mater Dei forward Xavier Johnson spent last Saturday at the Sports Arena watching the then first place Colorado Buffaloes take on UCLA. The Buffaloes are good at home but like most young teams have their struggles on the road. That was evident last Saturday in their loss to the Bruins, but the future is bright for the Buffaloes who are playing in their first season in the Pac-12...

Colorado Snags Point Guard Xavier Talton to Complete 2012 Class

Monday was a rough day for fans of Colorado college basketball recruiting. The Buffaloes lost out on two of the targets that they were pursuing the hardest, point guard Tyrone Wallace and wing Daymean Dotson, who ended up at California and Oregon, respectively. While their Pac-12 rivals won the battles for Wallace and Dotson, Colorado had a back-up plan, and executed on it quickly...

Colorado Reels in Top 75 Prospect, Xavier Johnson

To be sure, Colorado doesn’t exactly have a sterling history with roundball. Making the Case against the Teams Whose Bubbles Burst

This isn’t meant as a defense of the selection committee or any of the questionable teams that were selected to the NCAA tournament. In reality, only 50-something teams really deserved to be selected to the 68-team Big Dance. This is about those controversial teams that were left out and the reasons why these schools do not have any reason to complain. Virginia Tech: Yes,...

Texas Longhorns: College Basketball’s Jekyl and Hyde

When the Texas Longhorns are good, they are great. When Rick Barnes’ team struggles, its struggles are monumental. The first example of this came last Saturday in the Longhorns 70-67 loss against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln. Today’s 91-89 loss against the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder is the second example of Texas’ failure to play a complete forty minutes...

99 in 99: #70 Colorado Buffaloes

In the summer of the mega-conference, Colorado was one of the few major programs to actually change affiliation.  This will be the Buffaloes final season in the Big 12 as they will become a member of the Pac-10.  You know, because Colorado hugs the Pacific Ocean… Nobody is sadder than the other Big 12 basketball teams who stomped all over the Buffs the past few seasons. The Sports...
