Memphis joins Big East, now becoming the island of misfit toys
Is anyone sick of conference realignment yet? Isn't it time to just make four, 16 team super conferences and get it over with?
The latest news has Memphis joining the Big East for all sports in 2013. At least we know now who will finish last in the Big East football standings.

Chris Crawford scored a career-high 23 points, but was unable to connect on a three-point shot at the buzzer and Southern Miss defeated Memphis, 75-72. Crawford connected on 9-of-15 (60.0 percent) field-goal attempts, including 5-of-7 (71.4 percent) from three-point range.

Rodney Purvis Has Added Memphis To His List
Purvis tweeted earlier this afternoon that he has added Memphis to his list of schools. I assume this leaves his list at 5 with Louisville, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina State, and now Memphis all having a shot.
My gut tells me Purvis will wait until the last minute to make a decision.

Memphis’s Shawn Taggart has agreed to terms with China’s Shanxi.
