Mississippi’s Murphy Holloway is transferring for personal reasons. Some reports, including one from TheState.com, are saying that Holloway will transfer to Clemson. Holloway averaged 10.1 PPG and 7.6 RPG last season for the Rebels. Mississippi basketball coach Andy Kennedy says sophomore forward Murphy Holloway is leaving the team for personal reasons. Holloway, a 6-7 forward from Irmo, S.C., said Friday that he was returning to South Carolina where he has a daughter and family. Holloway averaged 10.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last season, starting 30 of 34 games for the Rebels.

Chris Warren scored 22 points to lead Ole Miss to a 72-59 win over LSU Thursday night at Tad Smith Coliseum. The Rebels improved to 20-9 overall, 8-7 in the SEC.

Terrico White scored 21 points and Mississippi (No. 16 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) beat Central Florida 84-56 on Tuesday night.

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) -Chris Warren scored a career-high 32 points, including 11 in overtime, and No. 20 Mississippi erased a double-digit deficit for the third straight game, beating Texas-El Paso 91-81 on Wednesday night.

Chris Warren scored 20 points and Eniel Polynice had all 12 points and four steals over the final 10 minutes of the game to rally No. 25 Mississippi to an 83-67 victory over McNeese State on Saturday. The Rebels (8-1) trailed by as many as 15 points early in the second half of their first game since entering the Top 25, but they used defense to blow past the Cowboys (3-5) in the closing minutes.

OXFORD, Miss. -- Mississippi's Eniel Polynice slammed a breakaway dunk with 2 seconds remaining to lift the Rebels to an 81-79 win over Southern Mississippi on Saturday.

The head basketball coach of Ole Miss, Andy Kennedy, was arrested earlier today and charged with assault. The incident apparently took place in Cincinnati, where the Rebels were in town for the SEC/Big East Invitational Tournament. Read more by following the link.
