Colgate's Mitch Rolls hit a double-clutching three-pointer with 1.5 seconds left to give Colgate a 59-57 victory over the Navy men's basketball team on Saturday night in Alumni Hall. The loss was yet another heartbreaking setback for the Mids, dropping Navy to 3-23 overall and 0-12 in the Patriot League. Colgate improved to 8-19 overall and 2-10 in the league standings.

Mike Venezia scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half and Colgate held off New Jersey Institute of Technology on Wednesday night.
The Raiders (7-15) led by 11 late before NJIT closed within one, 72-71, on Chris Flores' 3 with 2:50 to play.
Yaw Gyawu answered with a layup and Sterling Melville would make 1 of 2 free throws to put the Raiders up by four with 37 seconds left...

Colgate 78, Binghamton 74
Colgate rode the shooting of guard Mike Venezia and forward Sterling Melville to a 12-point halftime lead, then withstood a second-half rally by Binghamton for a 78-74 victory Saturday night in the season opener for both teams.
Venezia scored 22 points for the Raiders, going 6-for-6 at the foul line. From long range, Venezia was 4 of 8 on 3-pointers. Colgate led 39-27 at halftime...
