The second-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes, led by arguably the nation's most electrifying player, are out of the NCAA Tournament after the 10th-seeded Creighton Bluejays pulled off a 64-62 upset.
Caitlin Clark, who led the nation in both scoring and assists during the 2021-22 season, managed just 15 points against the Creighton defense and made only four of her 19 field-goal attempts. While Clark also added 11 assists and eight rebounds, she attempted 10 three-point attempts and made just three.
Creighton led by as many as 12 in the first half, but trailed by four with less than two minutes left in the game. After a Lauren Jensen layup cut the Iowa lead to two, Jensen came up big in the final seconds with a three-pointer to give the Bluejays the lead.
