Yea Moore should probably be on there, but there are a lot of good safeties this year. Probably the best safety in the country is Tennessee's Eric Berry.

There are a lot of really good players not on the list...it is impossible to pick everybody. The players were picked because of 1. Past Production 2. Poetential for the season 3. Intangibles (such as schedule, scheme, etc.)
We shall see how the NFL Draft Dog All-American Team stacks up at the end of the season...hopefully it will be close to this list.

Have you seen Maclin play? His 2,776 all-purpose yards were the most by a freshman in NCAA history and the 5th most by any player ever! Did I mention Maclin had 16 TDs last year?

  • I think the list is solid with one glaring exception! Eric Berry from UT was the best defensive player in all of college football as a true freshman. And I'm an Auburn grad! He will be the first safety selected with the #1 pick in the draft. He would have been this years #1 pick as a true freshman. You need to watch a youtube video on him. He hits like Ronnie Lott, runs like Deion Sanders and has the instincts of Polamalu.

Oh I agree Zonca39, he (Eric Berry) is the best player in the country at the safety position. John L. missed it on this one. He is just a sophomore so I don't think he is eligible for the draft though is he?
