TUNNEL HILL — The Cincinnati Bearcats recently offered unranked 2026 offensive lineman Anthony Baxter out of South Pointe (South Carolina).

Baxter is not ranked on a major service, but holds a college-ready frame at 6-foot-4, 320 pounds. He recently spoke with All Bearcats about his offer on Jan. 1.

“Receiving the offer was fun," Baxter said. "I had a great conversation, and the overall experience was amazing. The conversation went great, and definitely what stands out to me about Cincinnati is its history of offensive linemen. I really look up to Jason Kelce because of his athleticism and his strength.”

The staff had a very specific pitch that stuck with him throughout his conversation. “The coach that offered me stressed that academics are a huge part of their program at Cincinnati,” Baxter said.

Cincinnati has had a few offensive linemen go to the NFL and play in recent years, such as those on the list below.

  • James Hudson III
  • Justin Murray
  • Jason Kelce
  • James Tunstall

It is safe to say that the history of the lineman getting put in the league is a pitch that this staff can give to that group of recruits. The program's produced arguably the greatest center ever in Kelce.

Baxter is likely a ways off from commitment, but Cincinnati did offer first among all other power conference schools.
