3-Star ATH Kiwan Sims Commits To Portland State
Troy Babbitt-USA TODAY Sports

Three-star ATH Kiwan Sims announced his commitment to Portland State on Monday. He committed to the Vikings over offers from Arizona, Colorado State, Nevada, and San Jose State.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound athlete is from Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, California.

Sims is the No. 138 athlete and No. 112 player in the state of California, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is the fourth-highest-rated commit in Portland State history.

He is a four-time All-Golden League selection and was named the AVHS Player of the Year twice. As a junior, Sims recorded 1,032 all-purpose yards, 10 total touchdowns, 52 tackles, five interceptions, and 10 pass breakups.

Sims will join his high school teammate, three-star offensive lineman Mylan Sockwell, in Portland State's 2024 recruiting class. Following Sims' commitment, the Vikings now have nine three-star commits in the 2024 class.
