Nebraska football is getting pretty good at this recruiting thing. The Huskers just landed another blue-chip quarterback — their third in two classes — and are trending in the right direction with a couple of five-star recruits.
Trending in the right direction is a long way from a commitment. But Nebraska football has done a great job on its recent recruiting visits. TJ Lateef, who pledged on Sunday, visited for the spring game.
So did five-star Michael Terry, who had such a good visit, he said, “Matt Rhule isn’t playing fair.” According to Damon Benning, who was on the visit with five-star offensive tackle David Sanders, because his son Caleb Benning, a Nebraska football signee, took a visit, said the Sanders family was, “Blown away.”

Nebraska also hosted four-star offensive tackle Broderick Shull this weekend. Afterward, Shull, who was viewed as an Auburn lead, called the Huskers his co-leader.
Sanders had some Clemson crystal balls before his trip to Nebraska and you wonder where the Huskers stand for the elite tackle from Providence Day in Charlotte. He’s 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, and ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
The Nebraska coaching staff told him he would be a “game changer” in Lincoln (via Steve Wiltfong) and he certainly would be. The offensive line would be as scary as the QB and wide receiver rooms. The offensive line is already loaded with young talent and if Sanders or Shull or both came aboard, watch out.
You wondered what role Dylan Raiola played in all of this. According to Tim Verghese of Rivals, Raiola was the reason David Sanders visited Nebraska. They have a “real relationship” and are “close” according to Verghese.
"Dylan [Raiola] and David [Sanders Jr.] are close, there's like a real relationship there…now we'll just have to find out, can Nebraska get him back on campus?"@TimVerghese joined the show today for a full recruiting rundown, including an update on OT David Sanders Jr.

The next step is getting Sanders back on campus, maybe a couple of times. The summer cookout and a game this fall could be the perfect recipe for the Huskers to swoop in and steal his commitment — just like they did with Raiola.
