I always find what Walter Football
has to say about the Eagles draft interesting. He usually throws some
curve balls from what you’re used to seeing at other mock drafts.
Let’s see who he has the Eagles taking with their first 5 picks:
21 - Robert Ayers - (DE) - Tennessee
28 - Alex Mack - (C) - California
53 - Duke Robinson - (OG) - Oklahoma
85 - Javon Ringer - (RB) - Michigan State
117 - Chase Coffman - (TE) - Missouri
It looks like he has a pretty good grasp on the Eagles needs:
offensive line, running back, and tight end. His curveball: the Eagles
taking Robert Ayers with the 21st pick. Here’s my reaction to his
picks.
I go into a very in-depth look at his picks so read the FULL STORY for my reaction.

In the first, I think we are going to take whichever offensive lineman slips down to us at 21, whether it is Oher, Duke Robinson, William Beatty, or Andre Smith (remember when he was the Smith projected in the top 5?). The second pick at 28 might just surprise us and get an RB or a WR, between Moreno, Wells, Nicks, Britt, and of course Maclin
I think we might reach in the 2nd to find a MIKE backer for Akeem Jordan. Gaither is obviously not the solution anymore and Jordan played well last year, especially in pass coverage, but we only needed him in coverage because we were covering one of Dawkins weak points. Now that we have Sean Jones, Rashad Baker, and Demps (who Im not high on), they all have great cover and ball skills, our OLB's will get back to rushing the QB again...that might even make Gaither get back on the field on something other than special teams!
Either way, with all of those picks, I can't wait!

b. - "Sam" = would be strong side /
