Baylor ranked 105th or worse in nine different national categories last season. But there may be real reason to pay attention to the Bears this season: new coach Art Briles.
Here's what the wordsmith had to say following Saturday's practice when asked how he wants his football team to be viewed:
"If it's hot, we want it hotter. If I am tired, I want to be more tired. If
I am hurt a little bit, let me have something else hurt ..."
If Briles wants more of whatever he's got, he's in the right place.
Baylor has a schedule that's easily one of the 10 toughest this season and includes five teams in the Coaches Poll (Wake Forest, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas and Texas Tech), so to put words into Briles' mouth: "If I've got losses, I want more losses."
