Butch Davis To Take Head Coaching Job at UNC
Former University of Miami and Cleveland Browns head coach Butch Davis has reportedly accepted the head coaching position at the University of North Carolina. A formal announcement will most likely be made by the university sometime in the next few days. Davis has not coached since 2004 when he was fired from Browns after a less than outstanding stint there. He did, however, have much success as a college coach. He lead the Hurricanes to a national title and is given most of the credit for turning that program around during the late 90's in which he had 51-20 record over six seasons.
