Jamarcus Russell, what was that around your neck?

In last night BCS National Championship Game on Fox, at halftime they interviewed Troy Smith who had on a red polo to match his red hat (looked like a complete chump) and they also had Jamarcus Russell who wore some African Weaved Hoodie with a huge Bama Pride chain on his neck. What is the deal with that, realize where you are fool! This is LSU at the National Championship game not Alabama. The interviewer even made a comment about it...

Russell grew up and played high school ball in Alabama. If Nick Saban had been at Alabama back then, or if Alabama had been good, I'm sure Russell would have gone there instead of LSU. Everybody knew he was rooting for LSU over Ohio St. This isn't Lebron wearing a Yankees hat to the Indians game. Much as the media tried to create an insta-rivalry, LSU-Alabama isn't nearly as fierce as some other rivalries in the SEC West.

LSU wasn't a powerhouse when JaMarcus signed his letter of intent, heck they weren't even good. If he has so much love for Alabama football then go to school there, I feel he slapped LSU in the face by his decision. He is as good as dead to me, sort of like Nick Sabean now is...

The chain has nothing to do with Alabama football. It is only refering to his hometown.

here's a photo of jamarcus from last night. That is one large human being...

I'm sorry when did the colossus of rhodes come to town. My goodness.

Some people are sooooo sensitive!

Not to sound like a homer, but I thought Troy Smith looked just fine. He just had a red polo shirt and a red baseball hat on. If Troy looked like a chump in a polo, I don't know what Jamarcus looked like last night...

It looked like he got lost in the wardrobe from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air... or this Seinfeld episode...

Its a coogi sweater, its from australia

I am a huge LSU/ SEC fan. Russell looked rediculous.

No doubt about it. I love what Troy said. " I think that is an excelent representation" lol

yeah, all those comments about russell being huge ... that's why he's making many more millions than the other quarterback in the picture.

but we'll see who has the better career overall ... i hope it's troy ... for the ravens' sake ...

i know i'm grasping at straws but i don't care right now.

Only time will tell...
