As some of you may know, I live in the Washington-Baltimore area, am a Redskins' fan, and I whipped up a post about on the death of Sean Taylor this morning. I have also have been covering the tragic news of Mr. Taylor online and in my car on sports talk radio.
Well, in the hours since his death, I have seen the best and worst of the media in the coverage of this event...
Christmas is getting closer and this is my first with my son, he's the best gift I got. This is a wonderful time 2 appreciate family and blessings, living is a gift. There are varying opinions on this whole Sean Taylor thing, but I think all of can agree that no matter how you look at it, it's sad. It's not something you make tasteless jokes about. With Leather and others have all put joking aside when it comes to a young father's death. But these guys haven't. I'm not saying to do it, but if anyone knows how to make this...

Snyder and Gibbs seemed genuinely devastated over the death of Sean Taylor.
But when pressed for nice things to say about Taylor....they struggled.....offering "he loved football".

Sean Taylor of the Washington Redskins is going on trial for the assault charges that were brought against him last year. Sean Taylor died early Tuesday morning from complications pertaining to the gunshot wounds he sustained at his Miami home Monday morning. He was 24-years-old. Taylor, the starting free safety for the Washington Redskins, is survived by his 18-month-old daughter, his fiancée and parents.
