Notre Dame Bringing Football To Yankee Stadium?
TEAMS: Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Name a particularly loathsome baseball franchise. Go ahead, do it, we can hear you. All right, it looks like 75% of you said the Yankees, and the rest said… well, for some reason, the rest said Notre Dame football, even though we specifically said baseball. So why bring up the two most hateworthy teams in all of sport? Because of the impending unholy alliance that threatens the fabric of the universe, of course!

      The Yankees are averaging more than 46000 fans per game this year, the best in the majors. And windycity is absolutely correct about Notre Dame. Also, the writer of this article is just another whining Yankee hater, people I find very amusing. My favorite is when they say we buy championships, geez is that ever a stupid statement. If we could buy them we would have won more since 2000, which was the last time we did. But it is so much more fun to root for a team that has the balls to go out and get what they need to compete, then to play for some impotent franchise that keeps milking it's fans and does nothing to try to win. The haters also like to diss Steinbrenner, why because he wants to win? The press never bothers to write the articles about his charitable contributions, like putting hundreds of under priviledged students through college on his dime through the years. Kids who would otherwise have amounted to nothing and ended up either in gangs or just dead end jobs. No baseball franchise will EVER come close to what the Yankees have accomplished through the years.

      Yeah, but they are fun and always good for a laugh Melk. How bout our Yankees brother, they are playing great right now. Do you realize if Boston had only split the 8 games with us, we would have a double digit lead right now. I can't wait to play the Sox again, because now we have the bullpen squared away and the starters are pitching well. A shame about Wang but he will be back and better than ever. Joba looked great his last 2 starts also. Andy is gonna make it 9 straight today.

      Damn, Pettite did not have it, but with todays win they seal the deal on a 9-1 homestand, I'll take it.
