Ohio State announced the players of the week for the week against Toledo. Winners included Ross Homan, Dane Sanzenbacher, Ben Buchanan, Cameron Heyward, and Bryant Browning.

Ross Homan was the Defensive Player of the Week as he completed the game with a fumble recovery and 6 tackles. Dane Sanzenbacher was on all the highlight shows with his two touchdown catches in the first quarter. He finished the game with 5 catches for 126 yards.
Ben Buchanan got the start at punter after Jon Thoma came down with an illness before the game. He finished the game with 4 punts and averaged 42.8 yards per punt. The coaches awarded Ben the Special Teams Player of the Week award.
Cameron Heyward got the Attack Force Player of the Week as a member of a Buckeye defense that completely shut down a very good Toledo offense. While Bryant Browning received the Jim Parker Lineman of the Week award. The line continued to shift and rotate players trying to find a good combination after the loss of Jim Cordle to an ankle injury.
Scout Team Players of the Week included Chris Fields, Jordan Whiting, and Tony Harlamert.
