Senior Bowl (winners and losers)

Winners and losers from this year's Senior Bowl. "The best player participating was USC's DT Sedrick Ellis, who should be a top-seven pick."

"The best wide receiver in the game probably was Lavelle Hawkins from Cal. In addition to showing good speed, Hawkins appeared to have a complete game." Ballin', plus my boy Justin Forsett played hard too, looking like a mini Mike Hart from Michigan.

It's so funny the take on these types of events. Most articles I've read about the week as a whole said Hawkins was probably the best receiver there and had the same comments from the same NFL exec comparing Forsett to Hart. But, where the differences really start to show are on grading the mediocre or above average talent. Most articles have stated that this crop of Senior CB's and Safeties is weak at best and that the real talent lies in the Junior class entering the draft early.

The article was a good read, thanks for sharing.

I don't think that Ellis will get pick in the top seven. There is a lot of defensive linemen that will be picked before him. I have Gholston, Dorsey, and C. Long going ahead of him in the top of the order. Those three guys plus other players like J. Long, Matt Ryan, Darren "Run DMC" McFadden, and Keith Rivers will push him out of the top seven. He will be a top ten pick no doubt. He should end up at number nine to the Bengals. But you never know... crazy things have happened at number nine. Exhibit A: Ted Ginn Jr.

Noodle, your'e totally right. I gave you a point for that. i'm a USC fan, but sedrick isn't good enough. He's only a DT. So I think he'll actually end up #9 or #11.Good call. But if the dolphins keep the #1 pick u know who they should get? Chris Long. This isn't actually a wild call. He could play RT. He's got the body of a guard, but the speed of a RB. And he could make up for JT if he's traded. But since he's an end himself, he knows what ends are thinking. So he could use his brain there. But he can also use his speed to advantage. If the QB is in the shotgun and the end gets by him, Long could easily run back, catch up, and use a backwards-pancake block on him.
