When I made my projections for who would make the Eagles 53 man roster, I left Tony Hunt off because the Eagles don't have room for another running back on the roster. Despite how well Hunt played against the Panthers, the Eagles simply don't need another running back after Brian Westbrook, Lorenzo Booker and Correll Buckhalter. But what about at fullback? According to PhiladelphiaEagles.com, Hunt will be practicing with the first team offense today as a fullback. With neither Jed Collins nor Jason Davis stepping up and grabbing the starting fullback spot, it makes sense for the Eagles to give Hunt a shot at it. At 6 foot 1 and 227 pounds, Hunt is lighter than a normal fullback, but if he bulks up a bit he could thrive in the role. Credit Andy Reid with seeing a deserving player and giving him a shot to make the team...... Click the link for more.....

  • This is an interesting development. Does he have the size and blocking ability to be an NFL fullback?
  • That makes the Eagles an extremely threatening offensive team on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 for that matter... Staring at Westbrook and Hunt in the backfield would keep defenses guessing..

I know I'm not the only one that thinks this dude needs to be replaced!!! The Eagles over the past couple of years have lost some good coaches and staff personnel that have not been replaced by competent people!!! Special teams last year was our achillie's heel!! Besides for the fiasco at G.B. there were a few games lost by 3pts. where special teams could've won it(does...

I feel that things have gotten progressively better since the first day it happened. "A lot of things...

Good News for the Eagles All Around

Finally! For once, there is actually good news coming from Eagles training camp, and it doesn't just involve there being no bad news. First of all, it looks like the whole Shawn Andrews thing will finally come to a sluggish end, as Andy Reid reported in a press conference earlier today: "I think he'll be here sometime today. ?Not sure exactly when, but we'...

Jackson catching Eagles' attention, but it's still early

THERE IS A buzz in the land about DeSean Jackson, the Eagles' rookie wide receiver. That they were fake games does not matter. Jackson's catches and his athleticism were real. People think he might be something, and quickly. People are talking. "I don't know, I couldn't even really tell you," Jackson said, but the quick smile that he almost managed to...

McNabb primed for return to playoffs, MVP season

Donovan McNabb is healthy both physically and mentally, primed for a Pro Bowl-caliber year, and will lead the Eagles back to the playoffs after an 8-8 campaign a year ago. You can lock that in. I've never been so sure about anything. I fully anticipate McNabb being in the mix for league MVP. According to all accounts, McNabb is having the best training camp that he...

Eagles Try Hunt At Fullback

The Eagles are trying out running back Tony Hunt at the fullback position. The Penn State product is part of a crowded backfield behind running backs Brian Westbrook, Correll Buckhalter and Lorenzo Booker. Coach Andy Reid said he wants to give Hunt an opportunity to get on the field. Moving the second-year [...]

Eagles - Andrews finds fans supportive

TRAFFIC was sporadic at the autograph table where Shawn Andrews sat yesterday during the Eagles' Carnival, on Lincoln Financial Field's club level, overlooking 11th Street. Tickets, sold in advance, were $25, and in his news conference the day before the Carnival, held following his first practice since he rerturned from struggling with depression, Andrews had said he wasn...

Brady Says He May Not Play Again This Weekend Due to Foot Injury

The Pats got beat up by the Bucs last night 27-10, and they did it with their leader, Tom Brady, watching from home with a foot injury.  The QB today said that he's not sure he'll play in the teams 3rd preseason game this weekend vs the Eagles.  "Just trying to be smart," Brady said on WEEI in Boston. "The preseason is important, but I think the idea is to...

Favre drama is a reality check for McNabb

While the rest of the NFL world contemplated the unceremonious manner in which Brett Favre was summarily kicked out of Green Bay, another star quarterback, entering his 10th season as the face of his franchise, watched with great interest. Try imagining what was going through the mind of Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles as all of this was unfolding.

HOW MANY EAGLES FANS WOULD BE WILLING TO.........

How many Eagles fans out there would be willing to give up a couple of years of our future prospects and couple of years of rebuilding for a superbowl win now???? I know i would!!! The NFL has now become a win now league!!! when a team wins the superbowl now, they rarely repeat!!! Teams scamper to pick-up the winning teams free agents and throw lots of dollars at them. If we win...

Eagles: Bad News For Tony Hunt?

Ki-Jana Carter, D.J. Dozier, Blair Thomas and now Tony Hunt, whats with the Penn State Running backs. Once they make it to the NFL, it seems the turtle-like speed of the Big Ten exposes their true colors as running backs who just can't get it done. Other then Larry Johnson I can't think of a former Nit that has gotten significant carries in the NFL in sometime - and another...

"He's a fullback," said Hunt "That's an entirely different position."

Tony Hunt: Ht: 6'1" Wt: 233 Age: 23 Experience: 2nd Season College: Penn State I'm sure that this wasn't what he expected his NFL career to be like so far...... He's got the college football pedigree. Star runningback at a Big Ten conference school (Penn State). Second on their all time yardage list. And now he's taking snaps at Fullback. That&...

Show me what you got Drew!

I have very little respect for Drew Rosehaus, but he has 2 clients that can make a world of difference for my Eagles. WR Boldin is unhappy in Arizona, and Sheppard is unhappy in Philly. This is a perfect situation. We need a WR they need a corner, I really think with all that mouth and big talk he should be able to make something happen. Hell we'll throw in Reggie Brown too. Just get it done!

Reggie Brown Has To Have A Breakout Season!!!

I Am A Person Who Likes Reggie Brown And Want Him In Philadelphia But Reggie Brown Has To Be Ready For The Regular Season And Has To Have A Very Good Year Because Alot Of People Are Expecting Him To Do Alot And Has To Make Plays And Help Out Donovan Mcnabb.
