The University of Alabama officially has DaShawn Jones as a member of its football roster.
Jones, a former cornerback at Wake Forest, committed to the Crimson Tide last week out the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6-foot, 181-pounder finished last season with 37 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and a team-high three interceptions for the Demon Deacons. He totaled 60 tackles, seven breakups, and three interceptions across 22 games in two years in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Jones brings experience, athleticism, toughness, instincts, coverage skills, and strong tackling to the Tide’s defensive secondary. He shared his first photo on Tuesday to X of him in an Alabama football jersey.
