Alabama WR Jermaine Burton comes off the board in 3rd round to AFC North team in NFL Draft
Gary Cosby Jr.-Tuscaloosa News / USA TODAY NETWORK

Alabama football has its sixth player selected in this year’s NFL Draft.

Jermaine Burton, a former Crimson Tide wide receiver, comes off the board Friday on night two of the draft to the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 80 overall.

He came to the University of Alabama in 2022 as a transfer from Georgia.

After winning a national championship with the Bulldogs, Burton had to embrace the Tide’s culture. It was a tough transition, but Burton became a reliable offensive playmaker for Jalen Milroe last season. He led the team with 798 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 39 catches, aiding the Tide to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff berth.

Burton caught 15 touchdowns in two seasons at Alabama. He is now prepared to be impactful for the Bengals.
