Another Tennessee Vols transfer player could be heading to Ole Miss

The Ole Miss Rebels have already landed a couple of former Tennessee Vols in the NCAA transfer portal this offseason and they could be on the verge of landing another one.

Ole Miss landed former Vols defensive lineman Tyler Baron and defensive back Tamarion McDonald last month after both players hit the transfer portal.

And now Tennessee offensive tackle Gerald Mincey, who entered the transfer portal last week, is reportedly set to take a visit to Ole Miss.

According to On3, Mincey has a visit to Ole Miss in the works. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Rebels secure a commitment from Mincey.

This is the second time that Mincey has been in the portal. He previously transferred from Florida to Tennessee ahead of the 2022 season.

With Mincey on his way out of Knoxville, the Vols are in need of an offensive lineman to hold down the right tackle position in 2024. Tennessee is pursuing LSU transfer offensive lineman Zalance Heard and North Carolina transfer offensive lineman Diego Pounds, but nothing is imminent with either player.
