When Bobby Petrino crashed his motorcycle with Jessica Dorrell on the back of it last season, you knew it was going to be a rough year for the Arkansas Razorbacks. We didn’t know how bad it would be though. John L. Smith was made interim head coach of the team after Bobby Petrino was fired for his scandalous behavior. With Kniles Davis and Tyler Wilson coming returning, it looked like the Hogs may still have a promising season. After some pretty terrible losses and a 4 and 8 record, it looked pretty bad for the Razorbacks.

The players certainly hadn’t quit in Week 2 when they were 1-0 but somehow found a way to lose to Louisiana-Monroe. They might have felt like quitting after losing 52-0 to Alabama in Week 3, but not before that game was played. It was a chance to knock of the defending national champ and get the season back on track.
