The Arkansas Razorbacks troubles have been well chronicled on this site and now we’re here to bring them some good news. Quarterback Tyler Wilson will play on Saturday against Rutgers.
Wilson has been out since the Louisiana Monroe game when he suffered a concussion.
The confidence in Wilson’s abilities can be seen in line shift from -5 to -8.5. That number will probably continue to get higher through game time.
“I think they’re fired up about that,” Smith said. “They realize, ‘Gosh, the whole week of practice, it’s not for naught. He’s really going to be out there.’ … That energy. That postiveness. That vocal person that we need. His energy and that postiveness, it just kind of breeds and it keeps going and it spirals and that’s what we need.”
Wilson’s attitude is definitely something the Razorbacks need going forward. He criticized the team after their 52 – 0 loss to Alabama.
“It wasn’t pretty to sit on the sideline and watch as a player, it sucks I can’t do anything about it. Do I feel that we, at times, gave up out there? Absolutely. As a leader it sucks to see people not do their jobs and to see things go wrong, there has been a lot of things go that way. As a leader, at this point you have to look forward.”
Arkansas will have to stop Rutger’s running back Jawan Jamison, who is having a pretty good season and is averaging over 100 yards a game.

Tyler Wilson is back for Arkansas.

University Of Arkansas head football coach John L. Smith is coaching on a 10 month contract, and the details of that contract won’t be nearly enough to satisfy the countless debts he owes.

A large crowd of Arkansas students held a surprise pep rally to greet the Razorbacks football team as they walked off the field after Wednesday's practice.
It was a great show of support by the students after two straight losses, which included getting crushed 52-0 by Alabama last week.
Maybe in some strange way, the students are heeding head coach John L. Smith&...
I remember when I was really on my own for the first time. Not going away to college, but living in my first apartment as an adult. I don’t think my checking account was above $500 for more than a few days a month prior to paying rent and bills. Of course, I was earning [...]
