Texas Tech has enjoyed a rapid return to football relevance under head coach Tommy Tuberville. The former Auburn coach is in his third season as the head coach of the Red Raiders and has a record of 20-15 there, including a 7-3 mark this season. But he may not be in Lubbock much longer.
Tuberville is believed to be one of top targets for the soon to be vacant Arkansas head coaching job and, according to rumors, he would love a chance to return to the SEC. After this weekend’s incident with an assistant on the sidelines, maybe Tuberville will see it as time to move on from the Red Raiders.
After the unceremonious exit of Bobby Petrino last summer and the incredibly disappointing season the Razorbacks are currently going through, the school will want to make noise with a big-time hire. TCU’s Gary Patterson and Nebraska’s Bo Pelini are believed to be in the running as well.
