Kenny Dillingham and ASU football have been active on the recruiting trail lately and the Sun Devils are making progress with a four-star linebacker. Dillingham has emphasized the priority of recruiting Arizona, but he’s also expanding amongst the West Coast with California and the PNW states.

In the 2024 recruiting class, ASU’s most recruited state was Arizona (4 commits, tied with Texas). However, the top three recruits of the class were all from the PNW (247 Sports). Jason Brown is a four-star running back from Washington, he is ranked as the top player in ASU’s 2024 class. Jayden Fortier (TE, No.1 overall prospect in Oregon) and Terrell Kim (IOL, No. 3 overall prospect in Oregon) are both from Oregon and round out the top three.

Now ASU football just locked in an official visit with the top player in the state of Washington (2025).

Top player in Washington schedules official visit with ASU football

Zaydrius Rainey-Sale is a four-star linebacker from Spanaway, Wash. Rainey-Sale attends Bethel High School and 247 Sports ranks him as the No.1 player in Washington and No. 112 overall.

Rainey-Sale has lined up four official visits for this spring, and early summer.

UCLA – May 17

Arizona State – May 31

Washington – June 7

Florida State – June 14

The four-star linebacker holds 18 offers and is highly sought after. He would immediately rank as ASU’s best pledge in the 2025 class. The Sun Devils currently have four commits in their 2025 class, ranking No. 38 overall and No. 6 in the Big 12.

“My goal is to narrow it down right after my official visits, so like July, then I plan on announcing in either late July or August,” said Rainey-Sale in an interview with 247 Sports.
