It’s homecoming in Tuscaloosa, Alabama this weekend and that means the locals are about to throw the best damn parade in the SEC. The school will announce a 2012 homecoming queen, hold a pep rally bonfire tonight on campus (full festivities can be found here) and allow die hard Bama fans a chance to show just how crazy they are about the Crimson Tide. Take Bama fan Ray Hornsby – @ibrayman – the owner of TideRides.com. He’s been to a few homecoming parades. There was 2009 when he entered his pimped out Smart Car. Then there was 2008 when he was just getting started in his Alabama homecoming ride obsession. This is the year Ray takes things to the next level with his Alabama football helmet go-kart. According to Ray: I acquired the helmet from someone who bought it from a Sporting Goods Store that was going under.  The Helmet comes with a pedestal that holds it 12 feet in the air.. and a motor that rotates. Of course Ray is spreading the word that his giant helmet is coming to town. Can you blame the guy? When you have the baddest homecoming ride in Tuscaloosa, you puff out your chest a little bit. That’s just how a guy should roll. ROLL TIDE!   Filed under: Football

2012 BCS Bowl predictions

It’s an exciting time in college football. We’re getting to that point of the season where we can take an accurate shot at bowl projections, even though the “experts” have been taking their cracks for months now. But at the midway part of the season, we can see the conference front runners, who’s fake, who’s for real, etc. So, without further adieu, I present to you...

Miss. State fans get to Nick Saban statue

Although the sportsbooks say otherwise, Mississippi State fans certainly believe they have a shot against the top team in the country, and #WeBelieve has made its way around the Internet plenty in the past few days. It has also made its way to…Nick Saban’s bronze chest. Not his actual chest—which may or may not match [...]

The Alabama Crimson Tide continue their dominance in license plating

The Alabama Crimson Tide continue to use the Alabama “A” to come up with creative (and usually offensive) phrases on their license. We’ve seen an Alabama license plate that read along the lines of “A-hole” but more offensive. Some of the license plates were just too offensive to post. I’m sure the Alabama football team and Nick Saban really appreciate the gesture from...

An Alabama fan voted for Nick Saban for President of the United States

An Alabama fan was nice enough to send us some pictures of him voting for Nick Saban of the Alabama Crimson Tide for the President of The United States of America. He asked that we please post this note due to some technical errors. We try and avoid politics at all costs on this site but this was way too good not to post. Hopefully AJ McCarron can be Secretary of State and Eddie...

No. 1 Alabama rolls past No. 11 Mississippi St.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- AJ McCarron passed for 208 yards and two touchdowns and No. 1 Alabama reached the end zone on its first three possessions in a 38-7 victory over No. 11 Mississippi State on Saturday night. The Crimson Tide (8-0, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) quickly turned the meeting of unbeaten SEC West teams into a mismatch, rolling toward a national title game rematch...

A win over MSU means a happy Bama homecoming

Notebook: Alabama head coach Nick Saban said that Saturday's homecoming will only be a happy occasion if the Tide gets it done on the field. "It still always comes back to that," he said.

Alabama's dynamic duo

After Alabama's running game lost Jalston Fowler and Dee Hart to knee injuries, Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon knew they'd have become a productive tandem in the Tide's backfield. And they have, both having rushed for over 500 yards seven games into the season.
